The Vāstu Pricing Promise: Direct Pass-Through Shipping

At Studio Vāstu, we reject the practice of inflating item prices by 20% to 40% to advertise "Free Shipping." Hiding freight costs inside product prices unfairly penalizes local clients picking up in person and overcharges collectors purchasing multiple pieces on a single delivery.

Instead, we operate on 100% price integrity:

  • Zero Shipping Markup: You pay the exact, un-padded commercial rate charged by our shipping carriers. We make no profit on shipping.
  • True Craft Value: Every item is priced honestly to reflect its true craftsmanship and provenance.
  • Consolidation Savings: When purchasing multiple pieces, freight rates scale down significantly per item rather than multiplying hidden logistics fees.

Delivery Tiers & Methods

We categorize shipments into two logistical care tiers based on size, weight, and fragility:

1. Custom Boxed Delivery (Standard Parcel)

  • Eligible Items: Tabletop accents, brass hardware, table lamps, textiles, and smaller wall mirrors.
  • Carriers: Dispatched via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground with automated tracking.
  • Transit Time: Typically 2 to 5 business days once dispatched from our studio.

2. Specialty Freight Delivery (LTL & White-Glove)

  • Eligible Items: Substantial architectural doors, large jharokha frames, carved jhula swings, consoles, dining tables, and heavy stone artifacts.
  • Transit & Handling: Because these irreplaceable treasures cannot travel on automated conveyor belts, they are transported via vetted freight carriers using dedicated routes, palletization, or blanket-wrapped white-glove delivery.
  • Delivery Scheduling: The freight carrier will contact you directly by phone or email prior to delivery to schedule a specific delivery window.
  • Delivery Protocol: Please ensure clear access pathways to your entryway or room of choice. Standard freight delivery includes threshold or curbside delivery; white-glove placement is noted where specified at checkout.

Multi-Item Consignments & Custom Freight Invoicing

When an order contains multiple freight pieces or a mix of parcel and oversized goods, shipments may be split to ensure the safest handling.

In select cases—such as combined multi-piece freight orders or items marked "Freight Quoted & Invoiced Separately"—our studio team personally audits the packing geometry to secure the lowest possible consolidated carrier quote. You will never be charged surprise shipping fees; all freight quotes are verified and approved with you before final dispatch.

Complimentary Austin Showroom Pickup

Local clients and designers in Central Texas are never required to pay for shipping:

  • Location: Studio Vāstu & Indigo Market, 2009 Ranch Road 620 North, Suite 150, Austin, TX 78734.
  • Availability: Select Pickup at checkout. Orders are generally ready for collection within 2 to 4 business days.
  • Scheduling: We operate strictly by appointment to ensure your items are carefully wrapped and our team is ready to assist with loading. Once you receive your "Ready for Pickup" notification, you can schedule your preferred collection time online.

Damaged or Missing Shipments

All shipments are dispatched with commercial carrier insurance. If an item arrives with visible exterior damage to the box or crate, note the damage with the carrier driver upon signature and contact us immediately at info@studiovastu.com or via WhatsApp at +1 (512) 920-2770 within 48 hours.
