Machu Picchu

An unusual link was made between Indian architecture and ancient buildings in Peru - it has been confirmed that the layout of two ancient Incan structures in Machu Picchu conform completely to the principles of Vastu.

Many wonder how this can be, well, the original texts on Vastu dated around 8000 BCE is authored by Mayamatam and the name as 'Mayan' crops up repeatedly throughout ancient Indian texts.  The Incas' are also known as 'Mayans'.

No one knows how this connection is made - could Mayan have been an early Indian architect who liked to travel? India had double-hulled catamarans capable of long sea voyages prior to this time.

Also, curiously, Sanskrit (the ancient language of India) was the only language that didn't have to find a word for the modern invention of the airplane - it already had a word for 'aircraft' that dates back to 8000 BCE!
